Corentin

The name Corentin comes from the Breton "kaouraintin", whose etymology - uncertain - could come from "kaour", help, "kar", the friend, or "karent", the parent. Hermit in the forest of Armorica, renowned for its miracles, Saint Corentin became in the fifth century the first bishop of Quimper, long called Quimper-Corentin. It is one of the seven founding saints of Brittany.
